Dining Out on Christmas Day

If you are visiting North Myrtle Beach, a variety of restaurants are open on Christmas Day. Choose from sophisticated dining, casual atmospheres and abundant buffets. The Myrtle Beach area has an eatery that will please everyone.

Looking for an upscale experience, give The Brentwood in Little River a try. Voted Best French Restaurant in 2009, The Brentwood is serving meals on Christmas from 2-7pm. A four course dinner is being offered or select an entrée from their regular menu. Log onto or call 843 249-2601 for information and reservations.

If you like a waterway view, spend your Christmas Day at the beautifully decorated Greg Norman's Australian Grille in Barefoot Landing. They are open from 2-9pm and offer a special Christmas menu. Begin with lobster bisque soup and a special salad, enjoy a salmon or roast duck main course and end with a delicious dessert. The atmosphere at Greg Norman's never fails to delight diners. Buffet lover's can feast at Preston's Seafood and Country Buffet located on Highway 17 near the entrance to Barefoot Landing .They open at 11:30 and except reservations. The Adult buffet is priced at $ 19.95, while kids under 3 are FREE. There are reduced prices for children ages 3-12.

Fans of German dishes will enjoy a dinner at Horst Gasthaus, a German restaurant and lounge. The establishment will feature a traditional Goose Dinner with potato dumpling and red cabbage for $18.95.Live entertainment will also be provided. Horst Gasthaus is located on Highway17 and 37 Avenue in the Windy Hill section of North Myrtle Beach.

Casual diners can try the Bar-B-Que House on Highway 17, recently opened in North Myrtle Beach. The original Bar B Que House is located on Oak Island in North Carolina. The restaurant brags "They have the best bar-b-que on the beach." Pork, ribs and chicken are served with delicious hush puppies and corn nuggets. Celebrate Christmas in a laid back atmosphere! Carry-out is also available.

So, go ahead and enjoy a Christmas meal with your friends and family at one of the many restaurants on the Northern Grand Strand. Each eatery has its' own unique food and style. You don't have to be a visitor to take a night off from cooking.
