Most of these businesses provide the service free of charge but some require a subscription with a national wireless company in order to participate. We are working to provide comprehensive and accurate information regarding this new trend. If you know of a location not currently represented in this list please let us know. What is a "WiFi HotSpot"? A Wi Fi hotspot is defined as any location in which 802.11 (wireless) technology exists AND is available for use to consumers. In some cases the wireless access is free, and in others, wireless carriers charge for Wi Fi usage. |
