HCGOP offers chance to meet candidates

September 5, 2012 NorthMyrlteBeachOnline.Com – The Horry County Republican Party gathers sixteen candidates for eleven seats for party faithful inspection on Saturday, September 8 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

WHile it may seem odd that after the primaries are over, more Republicans are running for office than there are seats, SC Supreme Court Decisions removed from the primary all non-incumbent candidates who failed to file financial papers at the same time they filed their candidacy papers.  Missing the primary, candidates who decided to continue their run for office had to collect signatures from 5 percent of the registered voters in their districts.  Eight candidates in this area met that requirement.

Catered by the “Twisted Pig” the HCGOP BBQ Luncheon will be held at e  Horry County Republican Party Headquarters located at 2351 Hwy 501 E, Conway, SC.  BBQ will be $11.00 per plate and include door prizes and entertainment.   Proceeds from a bake sale will go to support the Horry County Republican Party.

A Party press release names the following candidates who will be in attendance.
