Rice & Bauer in runoff

June 13, 2012 North Myrtle Beach, SC – With a low 14.7% turnout, voter failed to give a decisive win to Congressional District 7 Republican candidates.  Just 217 votes out of 19,176 separated Horry County Council Chair Tom Rice from former Lt. Governor Andre Bauer.  They will face each other in a June 26th runoff. Gloria Tinubu handily won the Democratic primary as their candidate for the Congressional seat.

Other results in the North Strand had incumbent Tracy Edge winning over challenger Greg Duckworth by 54.64% to 41.46% of 3,603 votes cast.
