| Description | On Tuesday, Auust 7th, 2012, neighborhoods throughout North Myrtle Beach are being invited to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the "29th Annual National Night Out" crime and drug prevention event. From 6 to 9 pm., North Myrtle Beach Department of Public Safety will be hosting an event located at 2051 Bridgeview Ct. in the vacant lot next to Docksiders on the Intercoastal Waterway in Barefoot Resort to Celebrate National Night Out. We invite all residents of North Myrtle Beach to attend where we will be serving hotdogs and drinks. There will be displays from the various departments including K-9 Division, DUI simulation, motorcycle patrol, marine patrol and technical fire rescue along with many other displays. There will also be inflatables for the smaller children in our community to play on. The Event is FREE of Charge. National Night Out, which is being held on the first Tuesday each August, has been extraordinarily succesful in promoting involvement in local crime and drug prevention activities, strengthening police community partnerships, and encouraging neighborhood camaraderie as part of our fight for a safer America. We urge neighborhoods throughout the city of North Myrtle Beach to "Turn On" porch lights vigils and enjoy block parties, cookouts, potlucks and other events.
